Abstract

Children's poetry is created according to the characteristics and needs of children and based on the imagination and emotions of the children's audience. This provides the basis for the creation of the world and conditions that are not similar to the surreal world or what is formed in surrealist works. In this research, the affinity of children's mentalities and fantasy world and, accordingly, the ratio of space and elements of children's poetry with some basics of surrealism, and the dimensions of using ten poets of children's poets from the coordinates and capacities of surrealism have been explained and described. In this regard, the poetic possibilities and capabilities that led to the creation of a new reality beyond the known reality in the poetry of the poets of this study have been identified and defined. The results of the research show: the quality of objectifying mental images and changing the identity and location of objects, how to create a context for different role-playing and contrary to reality, also, how to benefit from unconventional humor and the narration of dreams and dreams that are aspects of surrealism, In the poetry of the poets, this research has its manifestation. This, while revealing the conscious and unconscious tendency of these poets to use the capabilities of surreal elements, is an approach that provides the basis for the use of imagination in children's poetry in accordance with children's capacity and interests.
