Abstract

The creation of man and God's command to all the angels to prostrate to him, and Satan's rejection of this command (based on the text of the Holy Qur'an and Islamic traditions) is an important and challenging subject. And has formed many doctrinal approaches within the framework of Islamic religions, so much so that an important part of the controversy between the various religions and sects of Islam is related to the causes and effects of the creation of Iblis, and his obsession and temptation against man.

And finally, it has led to important issues such as the goodness and ugliness of human deeds, predestination, the atonement and punishment of sins, divine justice, the issue of evil, and so on.

It is important to note that in a rare attitude among some Sufis, the controversy surrounding Iblis has led to his stage of sanctification, which, of course, is in stark contrast to the explicit text of the Qur'an and hadiths.

Such an important and challenging topic demonstrates the need for present research; In the present article, the contexts outside of Islam (Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.) and the internal contexts of the sanctification of Satan (Israel, Christianity, theology and Sufism) are examined.

The results of the research show that the explicit text of what is presented in the Islamic discourse as the sanctification of the devil does not exist in the text of Avesta, Torah, Bible and valid and well-known commentaries and interpretations of these books; But it seems that by laying the groundwork for some of the Torah or biblical approaches, and the Israeli traditions involved in Islam, these issues have laid the groundwork for theological debates and then the mystical Sufi view, also under the Ash'arite worldview.
