Criticism and narratological analysis of three stories from Beyhaqi history with emphasis on Gerargent's narrative theory

Abstract

Narratology is a systematic view of the structure of the narrative, which by examining the form of a literary work tries to gain more meaning than the text and make it clearer. Narratology is a set of general rules for narration and storytelling. , Germas, Tzutan Todrov are among the pioneers of this approach, among them, Geragenet took an effective step in this field and received a lot of attention. And he added more techniques based on his own words. Rous, Gennet's narratology materials are obtained from his famous article called Narrative Narrative. In this work, Gennet classifies discourse into three main categories: time, aspect, and tone. Where he narrates, the text is analyzed based on it. This research has been done in a descriptive-analytical way to investigate the narrative and time pattern according to Gera-Genet's theory in Beyhaqi history. Beyhaqi's history is one of the valuable prose texts of ancient Persian and rich in series of real events, which can clearly analyze Genet's theory on the narratology of Beyhaqi's stories. The findings of this research show that Bayhaghi's narration method has countless linguistic and narrative possibilities and abilities.
