Abstract

The scene of the story is the place where the action of the story is located, it is the field on which the people of the story play their roles. In order to be able to convey the environment of the story to the reader and not lose his interest, the author must have used methods called scene structure. The importance of the location of the story depends on the type of story. Hoshang Golshiri has used various methods in the scene structure in the novel Shazdeh Ehtjab, which include: double preparation, starting from the middle of the scene, artificial use of storytelling techniques, repeated use of scenes that have two characters, moving the future scene to the present, creating The balance between the incident and the experience of the character is the division of single-incident scenes. The purpose of this research is the comparative analysis of the scene structure or the extraction of staging techniques in the novel "Shazdeh Ehtjab" by Houshang Golshiri based on Leonard Bishop's theory. The research method is descriptive-analytical and in a library style. The findings of the research show that a significant number of components of this theory are present in Houshang Golshiri's novel Prince of Ehtjab, the most frequent of which is the presentation of the past and the future in a dramatic way, frequent use of scenes that have two characters, and maintaining the continuity of long scenes.
